Shannon is a certified makeup artist located in New York. While she loves all forms of makeup, she is especially passionate about Film/TV, SFX, Theatre, and Editorial makeup.

Growing up on Long Island in New York, Shannon would lock herself in the bathroom for hours when she could not sleep at night, and play with makeup. These looks began as your day-to-day makeup, but soon took on a whimsical note.

This love of makeup remained strong throughout the years. After completing their BS in Deaf Studies at Boston University, with a minor in Theatre Arts from Boston University’s theatre conservatory, Shannon went on to teach preschool, leaning into any opportunity to bring these creative skills into the classroom. This meant she quickly became the teacher known for elaborate costumes and makeup to celebrate every holiday.

Eventually, the urge to travel and expand their knowledge led to a move to Glasgow, Scotland, where she received an MLitt in Fantasy Literature at the University of Glasgow.

This love of writing, learning, and creation led to the decision to pursue makeup certification, which she received after attending the Makeup Academy of New York City. She took their Master Artistry course as well as SFX training course.

Whilst currently based on Long Island, NY, Shannon is always open to traveling for work, as she loves any opportunity to meet new people and make art with other creatives.
